A Little About Me

My name is Chris Caunce and I am located in Burlington, Ontario serving the Greater Toronto area and beyond. I have always enjoyed building things and doing renovations. My woodworking journey got a real kick start when my daughter told me she did not want a dad coach any more (which I totally get).  Faced with the lack of practises each week and not as much going on on the weekends I needed something to occupy my time (I do not sit around well).  My wife needed a entertainment unit for our family room and when I saw what it was going to cost me on Wayfair I said I could make it for a third of the cost and my career as a woodworker began. I started making rustic tables, benches and various pieces.  My mom needed a bed with storage so I made her one. When the pandemic hit I started making art boards that I sold and then donated the proceeds to Halton Food for Thought, which was my first foray into selling what I made.  That summer I made planter ladders and other things for the outdoors which did well since so many people were forced to stay in their backyards.  One thing I realized though was that shop space was an issue, which lead me to making smaller items.  Here we are in 2022 and I have added many different boards to my repertoire which you can view on this web site.  Contact me if there is something I can build for you.
